Siegfried Köhler’s life has been a tight-rope walk between so-called serious music and music for entertainment. He worked as a harpist, repetiteur, and conductor while he composed chamber music works as well as works for large symphonic orchestras. This CD contains works, directed by the composer himself, that show the wide spectrum of his oeuvre from serious chamber works to parts taken from musicals, a criminal comedy, or a musical revue.
