This annual contains the papers read in 1995 as part of a symposium entitled 'Paul Hindemith in the USA' at the University of Yale in New Haven, USA. Main topics are Hindemith's circumstances in the 1940s, the evaluation of the compositional style of the works generated in the US within his oeuvre and the history of their audience reception.
